ICKENHAM CHURCHES’ COVENANT REVIEW
APRIL 2010

(Still time to print off the questionnaire and send it in!)

As Minister of Ickenham URC and Rector of St Giles’, we are very aware of the many benefits to us personally when the churches work together.  But as we begin the Jubilee celebrations of our Covenant – see page 1 article - we are keen to know your opinions.  What do you, the people of Ickenham (and any other readers of ICN!) think about this partnership between our churches, and its value to the community of Ickenham?  Please take a few minutes to answer the following questions, then return the questionnaire to us by 30th April.

Thank you in advance for your help.

The Questionnaire can be downloaded by clicking here and printed off for completion and return.

Returning your questionnaire

Please return your questionnaire - as soon as possible - to any of the following locations:

  • Ickenham URC
(place in marked box on table outside Hardwick Room)
  • Winchester Pharmacy, 79 Swakeleys Road, Ickenham
  • St Giles’ Church
(post in black letter box, down left side of church building)
  • SJ Williams (Butchers), 3 Swakeleys Road, Ickenham

      • or post to ICN Editor, Heather Piper, 20 Breakspear Road South, Ickenham, UB10 8HE

As a thank you for taking part, questionnaires received by 30th April will, if you wish, be entered into a draw to win a box of FairTrade / Traidcraft goodies!  For this we will need your name and a contact telephone number.  Any information and opinions you have supplied will, of course, be treated confidentially and will only be used to gain a general understanding of the views of the community.

If you would like to be entered into our prize draw, please provide your name and telephone number.

Thank you for taking part!

MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR THE BEREAVED

There will be a special Memorial service at St Giles’ Church on Sunday 16th May at 3pm for those who are bereaved.  The names of the departed, whose funerals were conducted at Ickenham URC or by St Giles’ Church staff between the beginning of April 2009 and the end of March 2010, will be read out during the service.

The speaker will be Revd Dr. June Hughman, Uxbridge Town Centre Minister, and members of the Bereavement Support Group will be present.  After the service, the congregation will be invited to have refreshments in St Giles’ Church Hall.

Anyone who would find this service helpful is welcome to attend.
