WOMEN’S WORLD DAY OF PRAYER

The Women’s World Day of Prayer is a worldwide movement of Christian women of many traditions, who come together to observe a common day of prayer on the first Friday of March.  Each year, the programme is prepared by a different group of women.  This year, the women of Malaysia have prepared a service entitled “Let Justice Prevail”.

The service for Ickenham and Ruislip will be held at 2pm on Friday 2nd March at Ruislip Methodist Church.  Although the service has been initiated by women, the invitation to attend is warmly extended to all – men and women, young and old.  The service will last about an hour, but please stay on afterwards if you can, when refreshments will be served.

For further details, please contact Anne Whitlam on 01895 678169.

BREAKSPEAR SCHOOL AT 75

Did you go to Breakspear School, as a pupil or as a member of staff?  Then get involved this May, when the school celebrates its 75th Birthday!

Two events are being planned.  Pupils who left the school, aged 11, anytime from the Millennium onwards, are warmly invited to come along to the Annual Parents’ Association Summer Fete on Saturday 19th May.  For those who left, aged 11, earlier than that, a late afternoon / early evening event will be held on Wednesday 30th May.  Come along, and meet up with fellow pupils and staff.

Updated details will appear on the school website: www.breakspear.hillingdon.sch.uk

SERVICE OF HEALING AND PRAYER

Have you ever wanted to ask for God’s help with a problem (physical or other) for yourself, or a friend or family member?

St Giles’ Church has arranged a special service to let you do just that on Sunday 25th March from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

  • With music and prayers
  • Hear how God answers prayer
  • An opportunity to pray with one of our prayer ministers for yourself or someone else
  • Or to simply sit quietly and be with God in your own way

Come celebrate Christ’s healing work in our lives; see what God’s love can do for you.
