HEALING AND PRAYER

The next of our series of Services of Healing and Prayer has been set for 24th February at 6.30pm in St Giles’. 

We believe that God hears and answers prayers, to bring about his good purposes in our lives.  That’s what motivates us to pray for healing and wholeness in our lives. 

If you, or someone you know would like to come to this service, make a note of it in your diary now.  You will have the opportunity to pray with one of our prayer ministers, for yourself or someone else, or simply sit quietly and be with God in your own way. 

Celebrate Christ’s healing work in our lives.  See what God’s love can do for you. 

 

THANK YOU FROM BUTTERFLIES

Local fundraising group ‘Butterflies’ would like to thank all those who have supported them during 2012 with donations and by attending their sales.  To date, they have raised £4,200 for a variety of good causes.  If you know of any local children’s charity, or an individual child that would benefit from the group’s help, do get in touch with the team. 

Their 2013 table top sales will take place in the Village Hall, from 10am till 1pm on the following Saturdays:
2nd March 11th May 16th June 14th September 16th November

QUESTION TIME

The Ickenham Festival team pulled out all the stops again for their Charity Quiz Night in the Village Hall.  The evening in November was the usual sell-out, with 150 folk pitting their wits against questions prepared and presented by Nikki Summerfield and Doug Neilson.  The eventual winners, a team with the alternative name of CRAFT (Can’t Remember A Flipping Thing) just squeaked past the Ickenham Residents’ Association team after a tie break. 

From the proceeds of the evening, the top five teams won cheques for their nominated charities totalling £200, and a great time was had by all.
